Interior Waterproofing

Interior waterproofing is a great alternative to the exterior method.  There are many reasons to choose interior waterproofing such as;

• Very small amount of space between houses making an excavation not possible or very difficult

Interior waterproofing involves installing a drainage system.  This will allow the penetrating water to be redirected to an appropriate place of drainage, keeping your basement dry.  This method of waterproofing is done by breaking up the floor between 6 to 10 inches from the wall and digging a trench. Weeping tile is installed and connected to either a sump pump or a floor drain.  Membrane is then placed on the exposed wall and a layer of gravel poured over the weeping tile.  The job is completed by pouring a layer of concrete over the trench.
